Hey! So Glad You're Here.

My name is Liz Michael. I am an avid foodie and the oldest of four. I have spent many weekends baking desserts for my family and cooking meals with my mom for our huge family. Food is essential for our growth; it is our fuel. Our bodies run well on “premium” food, as expensive cars run on premium gas.


This past year, I spent numerous hours researching the effects the modern (Western) diet, particularly with regard to ultra-processed foods, has on our brains and bodies while simultaneously crafting recipes with ingredients that are easily accessible and meals simple to make if only you give them the proper time and love.


Through my research, I've discovered that ultra-processed foods, which are industrially formulated with additives and artificial substances, can harm physical and mental health. These foods are often high in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats and lack essential nutrients, leading to an increased risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cognitive impairment. The discovery of this information is pivotal for my generation to be aware of. Our bodies collectively have absorbed chemicals that do not belong in our bodies, and without change, we will start to deteriorate, and the span of life will decrease rapidly. Change starts now.
